Introduction :
Shresta's
solutions for power metering have helped fuel the utility
industry's migration to solid state metering, while
simultaneously driving down costs and improving anti-tampering
capabilities. Our Solution offer the highest level of
integration and flexibility in the industry and are ideal for
developing low cost, intelligent utility meters for
residential and industrial applications.
Shresta's
advanced poly phase meter solution leverages the Single
Converter Technology and above capabilities along with a
21-bit 2nd order delta-sigma ADC and 6 analog inputs.
Poly-phase monitoring enables the collection of a much richer
set of information, beyond just how much electricity is used.
In addition to enabling an assessment of power efficiency,
which is important for industrial applications, poly-phase
also provides improved security to detect tampering and/or
power theft. Anti-tamper and time-of-use billings are both key
features that are derived from an integrated 'real time clock'
which enhances value while simultaneously saving on BOM costs.
Anti-tampering capabilities are becoming especially important
in developing countries, such as China and India, where power
usage and power theft are both growing rapidly.
